(08) PhD Positions at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology: The Botswana International University of Science & Technology, or BIUST, is an international university located in the town of Palapye, Botswana. It is the nation’s second university, after the University of Botswana in the country’s capital, Gaborone.

Botswana’s first-ever satellite, BOTSAT-1, is expected to be launched (Net March 2025), marking a historic milestone in the country’s space exploration journey.

The President of the Republic of Botswana, Advocate Duma Boko, undertook a visit to the United States of America to attend the launch.

President Boko is accompanied by Honourable Prince Maele, Minister of Higher Education; Honourable Dr. David Tshere, Minister of Communication and Innovation; Professor Otlogetswe Totolo, BIUST Vice Chancellor; Dr. Dimane Mpoeleng, BOTSAT Project Lead; as well as other senior government officials. The launch date is only confirmed 24 hours before liftoff and is prioprietary, protected by SpaceX.
